NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback For A Quieter Mind
Almost all of us experience feelings of overwhelm sometimes. Mental clutter. We can't seem to switch our mind off. But, there are benefits in being able to quiet our mind.
Not only does it improve our mental clarity, it also aids in improving concentration. This leads to more effective problem solving. When our mind is cluttered, it stifles our creativity. When it's quiet, we are more open to allow our creativity to flow. Having a quiet mind also reduces stress, and allows our mind and body a calmness. This aids in relaxation. Along with all this, it allows us to be able to break maladaptive thought patterns and behaviours, which ultimately brings about inner peace. It helps to improve sleep, to reduce anxiety and even to allow us to be more self-aware. There are so many benefits to a quiet mind.
There are a few ways to bring this quiet to our minds, meditation is a great one. It's something that you can do pretty much anywhere, at any time of the day. There are even some great guided meditation apps available. I use these myself, as does my husband. It's really handy in times of great stress, or anxiety, to be able to take 10 minutes and rebalance.
Another way is to ground yourself. This can be a really quick way to bring yourself back to the present moment and cut through that mental overwhelm. I have a free grounding workbook that you can get here.
And of course, NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback. This is how I learnt to switch off. I came across Neurofeedback when I was at my darkest. I couldn't switch my mind off. I couldn't break that maladaptive thought cycle. Training with NeurOptimal® allowed me to really gain clarity on the changes I needed to make in my life to then be able to break that thinking, and quiet my mind. And SLEEP! Let's not forget sleep!
I use all three of the methods I mentioned above, and I get so much out of all of them!
